Q: What was the first concert you went to?
A: The first concert I ever went to was Gunna a few years ago when he first came out. I have not been to one ever since because that concert inspired me so crazily. I told myself the next show I attend has to be my own.
Nubian American Artist: Zanib (Zay-nib)
Q: How do you make culture intertwine with your music and or career?
A: I have learned to embrace my culture with all endeavors I embark on. In music particularly, I have used it as a tool to highlight my culture through Double Life in the lyrics and the video. I am not only able to introduce a bilingual twist through incorporating Arabic and English in my lyrical content but also through the visuals in the music video… highlighting pieces of the culture that are truly unique.
Dancing with Taja Riley
Q: How did your passion start for dance?
A: Funny thing about that is, I was placed in dance by my mom because my dad was embarrassed that I did not have rhythm. He is a musician, so I completely understand his anxiety around it. My mom still reminds me frequently that it is super ironic.
New York Hiph Hop Artist: Uneak
Q: In what ways has music changed or shaped your life?
A: Music has definitely played a big part in my life. I was at a moment in my life where I felt like I had nothing going for me that I truly cared about. Then I started to pick music back up and started writing again and it truly changed my life. I did music when I was little but I stopped so I tapped back into it and it started to blow up the way it did really made me who I am today.
The Cosmic Graphic Artist: Eden Redpath
Graphic Artist Eden Redpath speaks on his favorite artistic styles and influences.
OAO Primo
Q: How do you express yourself in your music?
A: I just put my soul into it! I do not hold back! I try to get everything that I have on my chest off through my music! I do not like to talk about my feelings so that is the best way for me! If I do not I will just hold it all in until I explode.
The Ghanaian Afro-Inspired Artist: Samuel Blankson
Q: What do you like about having people as your subject?
A: I like weird things that are not normal or subjects with characters that people term as the “other” in society.
New York Artist Haiko
Q: How have your performances changed since you first started?
A: Having ten years in the industry, I have performed on 100s of different stages, in three different settings. I was the vocalist in a band, then I was a DJ, and now I am rapping. My performances have always had a lot of energy and intense stage presence, whether there are 10 people in the room or 1,000.
John The Violinist
Q: What do you like most about doing song covers?
A: I love taking songs and being able to improv. I like being able to express myself on the beat. I can not sing so I allow my violin to do it for me.

My name is Sherren Olivia. I am a singer-songwriter from Chicago, IL. I love music and have been singing since I was a child. I began singing in church at a young age and continued to sing throughout my life in choirs. In college, I was introduced to recording and songwriting where I started to work with other musicians. I released my first two songs in 2015 on Soundcloud. I remember hoping that song would get to 500 plays and never imagined that something I wrote in my dorm room would reach over 100,000 people.
My first album "Oasis" was released this past February 2022. My journey has just begun and I am very excited to continue growing as an artist and make more music. I want to encourage anyone who loves to make music and create art to never stop creating. Create things that you like and do not try to create for others.
