OAO Primo
Q: How has your life experiences help your music?
A: I would say that my life experiences are the most influential part in and to my music! I do not like to cap in my songs! Obviously I am not going to incriminate myself in any way, but I definitely put my life into my songs!
Q: What is the process you go through when making a song? How about videos?
A: My process differs to be 100 percent honest! But most of the time it is the same! I find a beat that I like, that is one of the most important parts! Most of the time I can hear myself on the beat before I even start writing! Then I usually come up with a hook first, and that goes fast! Then I write my verses! Sometimes I can take an hour, and sometimes it can take days! My video process is pretty simple. I go and sit down with my camera man, Tom Shaw with Alpha imagery, and we take one of my songs and brainstorm different ideas for visuals. Then we make a script, and by we I mean Tom does , and then we make it kome to life! Tom is a magician with the camera so once we start shooting I just stand there and look pretty!
Q: Do you like collaborating on music with others? Why or why not?
A: It really Depends on the artist! If I can vibe with the person, and I feel that they are genuine and authentic then yes definitely! But a lot of people just want to collab because they view the wave and they want to get on it!
Q: How do you feel when you are in the studio?
A: I Feel like I am in another world when I am at the studio! To be real it took a lot of searching to get here! I have been to so many studios and very few have the vibes that I need when I am in that headspace! I love my studio now! Shout out to Zach Koval over at Lunar studio! He is a Goat and he is definitely the most hard working guy I have ever had the pleasure of working with! It feels like home when I am there, and you can not truly express yourself unless you are comfortable!
Q: If you could perform anywhere, where would it be and why?
A: I would go back and time and perform at this DMX concert that I saw a video of! There was an ocean of people and everyone was singing along and yelling his name! If we are talking today than probably Madison square garden or the Super Bowl! Same reason for all of them, the amount of people!
Q: What do you want to accomplish in your lifetime?
A: That is a very broad question! However, in enough words I want to provide for all of my family, and I want them to want for nothing! I want to live and die a legend! I want to leave behind a legacy! And I want to help those in need on the largest scale possible!
Q: How do you express yourself in your music?
A: I just put my soul into it! I do not hold back! I try to get everything that I have on my chest off through my music! I do not like to talk about my feelings so that is the best way for me! If I do not I will just hold it all in until I explode.
Q: What do you like most about having your friends on board?
A: The best part is hearing my friends and family sing along to my songs! It literally warms my heart and I have no choice but to smile and sing with them!
Q: Would you ever want to be a brand ambassador? If so for what company?
A: DEFINITELY! Louis Vuitton!
Q: What motivates you to keep going?
A: My family and my passion! I constantly write regardless of if I am going to record it or not! So I just feel as if this is what I am meant to do in life!
