Q: What did you want to be as an adult when you were young?

A: I actually wanted to play in the NBA! I grew up in Chicago for the Jordan era, that was the vibe back then.

Q: What is one thing you love about music and the industry?

A: I love that it is a universal language that transcends to all cultures. I love the fact that u can turn off the lights, spark a candle, and zone out. I love that I can make whatever I want to make, talk about what I want to talk about, vent, talk shit, and just do me.  It turns every messed up event, relationship, or life experience into beauty. You will definitely catch that vibe off “Let It Go”on an upcoming EP. The industry on the other hand is ehh, you really have to find your tribe.

Q: What is one thing you hate about music?

A: The one thing I hate as a creator is the pull from listeners to executives to chase trends. I just do not have it in me. I like to catch my own vibe in the studio and be free to express however I am feeling.

Q: What is one piece of advice you would give to an up and coming artist like yourself?

A: This business is all about endurance. Stick with it and be consistent. Don’t overthink it if your music is dope… it's dope and the cream always rises to the top.

Q: Where does your inspiration stem from with your music?

A: All my inspiration comes from how I am feeling. Every song is a moment in time captured through lyrics and music. I tell stories and talk about how I feel whether it is people or situations.

Q: Where is somewhere you would like to perform in your city and outside your city?

A: Like any artist in a major city selling out the biggest stadium is always the dream so the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Outside the city I would say anywhere overseas. I love to travel, chill, and connect with people from other cultures and outside of this country.

Q: If you could work with a clothing, music, or entertainment company what would it be and why?

A: I would love to collaborate with G Star. The designs perfectly represent me as a person and an artist, rugged and refined. Not sure about an entertainment company because I love the freedom and power that’s been given back to the artists today! I'd love to get into scoring for movies because I enjoy making cinematic music that paints a picture through sound.

Q: Where does your inspiration come from in your videos?

A: The inspiration comes from the lyrics and mood of the music. I am still working on my videos for my EP “Broken Generation”, dropping on November 18th. They are taking forever! I am a perfectionist. I probably got to chill on that a little bit and let everybody grow with me.

Q: If you could move anywhere where would you go and why?

A: I am not sure yet, I have only been to a handful of countries and still want to experience as many as possible but for right now I love Los Angeles. It is definitely home for me.

Q: What is something you would like the public to know about yourself?

A: I am honest and real. I do not make shit up in my music which you will be able to hear the transparency all throughout my upcoming EP, “Broken Generation”. Also, to all of my fans do not be shy, despite of my name. I am not shy and I love to hear from my fans!

JaeLynx - No Manners Music Video Release

Jae Lynx - No Manners Directed by Wet Visuals

This week rapper Jae Lynx released his new video to his song titled No Manners. Lynx started his career at a very young age and has blown up in the Rhode Island area. Throughout his career so far he has featured with artists like Dee Gomes and hasworked under Rhode Island's very own independent label “Applying Pressure Forever”, so do not be surprised when he is on stage in the New England area. This video was directed by Jay Pusha alongside Wet Visuals. When watching the video you learn that over many obstacles that are given to Lynx, he can overcome all of them and come out on top. The unique part of the video is the constant moon and nighttime theme during the day. This comes to show that you better watch out with the bars Jae Lynx has when the lights go out. The song is great. The song is catchy. The video emphasizes the dance moves we all want to do when listening to and watching this video. Not only that but he uses his real life experiences, putting them into his music. This makes his tracks more relatable to the young teens going through the same struggles of being a “Street Cat”. Gaining the attention of the artist community, including Pnb Rock & Trippie Redd, Jae Lynx is on the right track. He is always cooking up something different and does not stop working. He is a very determined artist and not checking out this video is a loss. Lynx is definitely somebody to look up to in the community While he is still freah and on the rise!

A: Definitely to buy my mom her own house or winning a Grammy.

Q: How old were you when you decided that this was a path you wanted to take?

A: I was about 13 years old when I figured out what I wanted to do in life. I just thought there is not a lot of ways to make it out the environment that I am in.

Q: How do you manage with being so young in the industry?

A: Well I am a youngin in the industry for sure but, my in my mind and heart I am like a grown man. I am my own adult and that is just how it always was growing up for me, with no father figure.

Q: What do you like most about performing?

A: I just love how the energy of the crowds get when they see a 15 year old boy on stage going crazy. That is when I just sit there and say “ohh shit”.

Q: Who is your biggest inspiration?

A: My biggest inspiration would definitely have to be Trippe Redd. He is just a rockstar and does whatever the hell he wants to. Fye also is my inspiration because he speaks real life shit, that people can actually feel.

Q: What do you like to do the most during your free time?

A: Usually during my free time, like any boy, I will hop on the game or just write to some beats.

Q: If you could move anywhere, where would you move ?

A: I would definitely move to LA or Miami.

Q: What is your favorite part about the career path that you have chosen?

A: My favorite part of the path I have chosen has to be just the passion and love I have for being in the studio, making music and just relaxing.

Q: If you could tell the public anything about yourself, what would you like them to know?

A: If I could tell the public something about myself it would be, I love each and everyone of y’all and I would never give up on the path that I chose. I hope you guys do the same and make sure to follow your dreams. If I can do it you can do it!
