Osanga: The Acrylic Artisan
Like everyone, she has things that motivate her. When speaking on what pushes her she stated “My family is my motivator. Not the family I was born into but the one I created once I moved to the United States at age 15. Every time I have a bad moment and question my craft they are there to remind me to pick my ass back up and paint. Not completely sure if they like me sharing their names but they know how much I am appreciative of the undying support.”
The Multi-Influenced Artist: Amir Maxx
Q: What do you like about being an up and coming artist in your city?
A: I have been able to meet so many other great artists in the city who are also on the grind too. Having that in common with them has helped me make friends with some very smart and focused individuals. Along with being an up and coming artist, I love the hustle and going out to prove yourself.
KREIM Drop His Latest Music Video Titled “3/5/15”
Before the year comes to an end KREIM releases one last video. With giving his fans more this year, he did not want to leave you guys without one more drop. This video is for his song titled 3/5/15, directed and shot by JID.
Afropop Artist: Dare Sweet
Q: How will you know “You made it?”
A: Well, depends on what it means to you. I mean do you think this can be measured by how much money we made? Is it measured by wealth or material things? Are we always satisfied and could stop hustling. I do not have the right answer to this question but I think from my point of view if I would say I can only say I made it when I have accomplished my purpose. Until then, I am still on a journey to making the world a better place.
Caleb St. Julian
Q: What do you think you would be doing if art was no option? How would that make you feel?
A: If art was not an option, I would be dead. That is all there is to it. Art keeps me sane.
Visual Artist: Matian Arts
Q: Where do you come up with the concepts for your series’ and pieces?
A: My work is mostly about music artists, I visualize them in different ways as people look at them and also I work around what they preach about in their work and music.
Getting To Know Pharah Phitted
Q: What do you like the most about creating your own music?
A: I love the fact that I am able to have full control over what I want to say to my fans. I like the fact that I am able to have complete creative control over my content and my intention when it comes to music.
MARQC
Q: What do you like and hate the most about what you do?
A: I enjoy making music, whether by myself or with the homies. It is always a good time, ideas are bounced around and collectively dope music is being created. I have no dislikes about what I do, maybe I will feel differently about that in the future but for right now everything is working.

My name is Sherren Olivia. I am a singer-songwriter from Chicago, IL. I love music and have been singing since I was a child. I began singing in church at a young age and continued to sing throughout my life in choirs. In college, I was introduced to recording and songwriting where I started to work with other musicians. I released my first two songs in 2015 on Soundcloud. I remember hoping that song would get to 500 plays and never imagined that something I wrote in my dorm room would reach over 100,000 people.
My first album "Oasis" was released this past February 2022. My journey has just begun and I am very excited to continue growing as an artist and make more music. I want to encourage anyone who loves to make music and create art to never stop creating. Create things that you like and do not try to create for others.
