Q: What inspired you to start doing all the mediums of art that you do?

A: What inspired me to embark on this journey to become an absolute artist was my past mentor, Paul McCarthy, an artist of many mediums. What I mean by “absolute artist” is that I strive to become an artist, in the most general sense of the term. I do not like feeling confined into one particular medium.

Q: What is one thing that you like with acting, poetry, modeling, acting, and dancing?

A: One thing that I love about dancing, painting, and writing poetry, is that it allows me to tap into my subconscious mind and communicate with it. They allowed me to be absolutely genuine with and even better to understand myself. As far as acting and modeling, I enjoy them because they allow me to play pretend and manifest a narrative or mood, based on body language and tone of voice. I love to challenge myself and take on characters that are very different from that of my own.

Q: If you could choose one, out of all that you do, what would you choose and why?

A: If I had to stick to one of my mediums it would be painting. Painting was my first love and my first interest in the art world. It is the medium that allows me to access my truest thoughts.

Q: What got you inspired to do artwork around blacklight?

A: Working with black lights was not actually intended when I first started painting, however, I did love vibrancy in my work. It was not until I had a show recently that one of my friends suggested we display my piece with a black light. Ever since then I have experimented with lighting when my work is on display.

Q: If somebody wanted to purchase a piece of your artwork where would they do that?

A: If someone were interested in my work, the best way to inquire would be email at the moment. I am currently working on getting a website up, which will be linked to the bio of my Instagram account. Soon to come.

Q: Where is your dream place to showcase your work?

A: A dream showcase for me would probably be having my work shown at Hauser and Wirth. This is the gallery that Paul has been showing at for years now. Once I have shown my artwork there, I will know that I have made it.

Q: Who is your biggest inspiration?

A:  I had three main inspirations growing up. My first inspiration was my uncle, Henry Lewis, who’s paintings used to see at a young age and I was in awe. The second inspiration was Paul McCarthy, who’s success in the art world inspired me. He also mentored me for the 2 years I lived with him. Lastly, my final inspiration was none other than Jean-Michel Basquiat, who’s unique style taught me that I don’t have to fit into any mold.

Q: What do you think you would be doing if art was no option? How would that make you feel?

A: If art was not an option, I would be dead. That is all there is too it. Art keeps me sane.

Q: If you could work with anybody in the artist community, all kinds of art, who would it be and why?

A: If I could work with anyone in the artistic community, it would probably be Jaden or Willow Smith. I feel that their views and mindsets align heavily with that of my own. I also feel like we could collaborate on some really dope art in any medium.

Q: What is your biggest achievement so far?

A: My biggest achievement so far is creating work that invokes emotions in its viewers, and sparks inspiration amongst other creatives. My ultimate goal is to become one of the most influential artists of my time.
