Q: How would you define being an independent artist?
A: It is rewarding and stressful. You never really have time off and things are constantly going on. You have to be ready to create and be ready to handle business at the same exact pace. Although things can sometimes be a blur, because I wear many hats, the end results are beyond worth it.
Boston Lo Fi Trap Artist: Miles Karter
Q: What do you like about being an up and coming artist in Boston?

Rhode Island Rapper: Adao

A: My mindset changed immensely over the years. I have learned how creative I can be, how much better of a human being in life, how to truly think beyond the reality we live in on a day to day basis. Dancing has not only brought joy and happiness, but it all transitions to help evolve my character, my love for life, & building relationships

My name is Sherren Olivia. I am a singer-songwriter from Chicago, IL. I love music and have been singing since I was a child. I began singing in church at a young age and continued to sing throughout my life in choirs. In college, I was introduced to recording and songwriting where I started to work with other musicians. I released my first two songs in 2015 on Soundcloud. I remember hoping that song would get to 500 plays and never imagined that something I wrote in my dorm room would reach over 100,000 people.
My first album "Oasis" was released this past February 2022. My journey has just begun and I am very excited to continue growing as an artist and make more music. I want to encourage anyone who loves to make music and create art to never stop creating. Create things that you like and do not try to create for others.
