4ONZII - “Messages”
"Messages" music video starts with an aesthetic shot of 4onzii standing on a waterfront with an ideal view of the sea and sunset beyond. The first thirty seconds of the video match flawlessly with the vibe of the beat. 4onzii's first few words "I'm lost for words, I'm stuck in pain that I feel that I do not deserve..." are deep and heartfelt. 4onzii goes on to reveal how broken and lost he feels and the video captures still shots of 4onzii and a girl as they argue back and forth. The hook comes on, the words "to let it burn awayyyy" echoes throughout as if he's ready and willing to end this relationship. OneofaKindvisuals (videographer and director) does an outstanding job of capturing emotion and story.
As we reach the end of the song a beat change occurs and the mood changes. 4onzii sitting on a chair with a woman behind him and a frozen clock next to him as if time was frozen. He goes on to declare the level of communication he's looking for; " Tell me can we just really keep it honest", "Love and loyalty is all that I require". 4onzii storytelling with R&B vocals on top of this lo-fi production carries you throughout the song and the "Messages" that 4onzii is conveying is relatable and easy to understand. Can't wait to see how far 4onzii is able to go.
