Unusual Demont: CHRYSALIS

Full of instrumental savory and sweet ethereal vocal delivery is Unusual Demont's second EP, "CHRYSALIS."

The project serves a buffet of musical production while cohesively generating a culture of genres, styles, and melodies that keep listeners hooked. While there are no features, the EP contains five songs, including his singles "NIGHTTIME" and "ALL THAT YOU WANT," clocking it at a 12-minute project. Other songs include "STARBURST," "SOMETHING," and "COMPANY," which wholeheartedly compile the body of work.

As "ALL THAT YOU WANT" opens as the first track, Demont brings a translucent and heavy bass song with psychedelia rhythms intact, all while exploring self-reflection and questioning the fulfillment of life. While "ALL THAT YOU WANT" became one of Demont's recent singles, it has become the best track to open the project and deliver its attitude. In "STARBURST," the song freely characterizes the spirit of harmonics while the piano's tempo is rich to the bone and sweet to the ear. As Demont sings about love, the electricity in his vocals and tune intertwine, amplifying the piece's entirety. At the same time, he hooks listeners with the chorus, "It's been electric what you mean to me/And I won't find another love, I know." "SOMETHING" also caters to a piano melody, but the quick switch-up delivery in the melody at the beginning levels the song, allowing Demont's artistry to overflow in a river of R&B mixed with vocal soul. To end the EP, "COMPANY" is rich in genre and instrumental production. While all the tracks compose those artistic characteristics, "COMPANY" reaches a compelling sound in style with diverse hues, switch-ups become natural, and Demont's voice transcends from the soul through echoes and sublime quality.

The project serves high-quality production from beginning to end while allowing Demont's artistry to evolve. Shining the light on every instrument and fulfilling every lyric to transcend to listeners emotionally showcases the growth of the artist while allowing music diversity to grasp a new sound to Demont.
