Musician Susan Carol

Q: What instruments do you play? How did you learn how to play them?

A: Guitar, Piano, Drums and Saxophone. I taught myself to play Guitar and Piano. My brother taught me to play drums and I learned Saxophone in High School.

Q: How would you describe the importance of music in your life?

A: Music is literally everything to me!

Q: How do you feel that you have been noticed by many different influencers?

A: It feels amazing to know that my voice and music are reaching and impacting so many people.

Q: What is the significance with the genre of music you sing, R&B?

A: I just love to write and sing about love and feelings. That’s mostly what R&B is so I accidentally fell into that genre.

Q: What do you like most about doing covers to songs?

A: I like that I can sing something familiar and put my own twist on it. Everyone can relate while still being able to hear my unique voice and feel the passion in it.

Q: What are three goals you have set for yourself?

A: My first goal is to go on my own sold out international tour. Second, win a Grammy and have a billboard chart topping album. Third, make music with everyone that I’ve dreamed of working with.

Q: If you could describe your voice in one word what would it be and why?

A: Timeless. I feel that my voice is mature yet something new and pure and it makes you feel a warm feeling when you hear it. I feel that it has the ability to withstand time and be one of those voices people always want to hear.

Q: What do you like most about being on stage?

A: I love being able to share my gift and the energy that I get from the crowd when I am connecting with them through music.

Q: What is something you dislike about the industry?

A: I dislike the lack of trust and the lack of actual genuinely good people.

Q: If you had to pick one artist to do covers for the rest of time, who would it be and why?

A: Stevie Wonder, because he has so many amazing songs to choose from and his voice is crazy so it would be a fun challenge to cover his music for the rest of time!
