For All the Dogs: Scary Hours Edition

Drake's For All the Dogs: Scary Hours Edition, aka Scary Hours 3, was released six weeks after dropping his 8th studio album.

The project serves as a deluxe version of For All the Dogs with six additional songs added, clocking the EP at almost two hours long. Scary Hours 3 includes another collaboration with J.Cole in "Evil Ways" and was produced with boi-1da, The Alchemist, Vinylz, Lil Yachty and Conductor Williams. The added playlist includes Red Button, Stories About My Brother, The Shoe Fits, Wick Man, Evil Ways ft. J. Cole and You Broke My Heart.

With the six additional songs, Drake is in full rap mode with obvious connotations to other artists. In "Red Button", Drake pays homage to Taylor Swift, saying, "Taylor Swift the only Nigga that I ever rated, only one could drop the album just a little later," also confirming that his delay of "Her Loss" was because of her surprise album in 2022. The rapper also addresses Kanye, saying, "The rest of yall, I treat you like you never made it, leave your label devastated, even when you pad the stats period, I never hated." Drake also throws shade at Kanye, accusing him of faking the streams on his "Life of Pablo" album in the track. Listening closely, Drake spits, "Do right and kill everything," spelling his name out in the track, making a nostalgic listening experience for this track for fans.

In "Stories About My Brother," Drake drops his best bars with a diss to Joe Budden: "Imagine us getting our validation from an ex-musician, searchin' for recognition, same story every time, they heckle in repetition." While Budden commented on Drake's FATD album when it first came out, he mentioned Drake needing to change his style in rapping and acting more mature; therefore, the lyric dissed Budden. He continues throughout the song with impressive wordplay and uses 6ix9ine as an example when he says, "You'll the type to catch a charge, head to the deposition, and act like the rapper named after the sex position."

While the rest of his additional songs call out other artists with no 808s and straight bars, Scary Hours 3 is the Drake we all want, as he did not hesitate to deliver.
