Getting to Know Steady Tek-Nick

Q: What is your ultimate dream?

A: To be heard everywhere frequencies can reach. I have a story to tell, I have views, opinions, worth and inputs that I want to share to the whole world. I am a voice and I want it to ring out as loud as possible

Q: How would you explain what you do to the people that are unaware?

A: I am a Hip-Hop recording artist and audio engineer who hails from Haiti. I do creative writings and won a few poetry contests as well as visual designing and I am a technician by day. *whispers* I am also a huge space, occult, manga and anime nerd by the way

Q: What do you like most about creating?

A: Freedom, I feel no boundaries and no chains holding me down when I'm in my zone. The process is subconscious, no conflicting thoughts, no restraints, nobody reinforcing their own ideas. You just get in that mode and it is like a lighting  bulb instantly flicks on

Q: If you could work with anybody dead or alive who would it be and why?

A: J.J. Cale, his guitar, melancholic voice, his demeanor, his rebellious nature, I can relate to it all and he just had the vibes of a true artist. G.Bobby Bon-Flo, not only as one of my best friends but he was legendary with his wordplays, flows and his delivery was top notch, no pen needed. Honorable mentions would be Toto Bissainthe and Ansy Derose, not only are they classic but their music just resonates differently and had its own tone, their records felt like they were living on their own plane of existence.

Q: What made you want to take what you do into a career?

A: It was either that or end up as a NASA scientist *laughs* But truthfully, I have always been top of my classes in literature and wanted to express myself with no strings attached. I highly dislike confirming to a system and having to report to a higher chain of commands, I thought this career was the best for me to remain in control of my own destiny.

Q: Who is your biggest inspiration?

A: I am, not to give myself too much credit, but more like my life, my surroundings and who I am aiming to develop as play a big role in my decision factors

Q: What is the best way to deal with stuff you struggle with?

A: Roll up one and take a hit to the head *laughs* Creating music is probably my main panacea

Q: What streaming platform do you like using most? Why?

A: Spotify, since it is easy to be placed on similar artists' playlist or radio and to gain traction from those fans. I would say it is the best platform for discovering new artists. Though as a consumer, I prefer Tidal, for exclusive content and audio quality

Q: What is a short term goal you have set for yourself?

A: To drop #lofiwifihifimofiya tape collections rather as singles or as EPs. I have my hair product, Pitanm, already manufactured and ready to hit the streets this month. I have a poetry booklet already compiled, Feng Shui, just wrapping up the logistics now to make it a reality.

Q: Do you play any instruments? If so what? If not would you ever like to learn?

A: I dabble with the keyboard and harmonica but far from being a pro. I guess my whining and high-pitch complaining voice is my main musical asset. No time and energy to focus on learning a new instrument yet

Those ain't final words since I'm not sitting around no table with Jesus but I wish folks would do them to the fullest. Just be you, no matter how weird, grandiose, annoying, inquisitive or far-fetched it seems. You are the only one that knows what you want and where you hope to be, so your journey and happiness all boils down to you and how much you're willing to do and sacrifice to achieve it. Steady Tek-Nick, weOutThere like ALIEN housewares *laughs*
