Louis Buralda with Art
Q: What has changed since you first started working to how your work is today?
A: My art style has changed drastically along with the consistency to produce new artwork. Business-wise my client base has increased from 2 states to 28 different states as well as having clients overseas.
Q: What do you like most about using watercolor markers? What got you interested in this material?
A: What had piqued my interest in alcohol-based markers such as Copic, Prisma Color, and Loft Markers were the blending of different colors. Also with the right technique, you can add major detail to a piece.
Q: What do you like most about Anime? What about it got you interested to make art that relates to anime?
A: I love anime because of the creativity. It is an actual escape and I love to present the same feeling in my artwork as well.
Q: Would you ever like to make your own Anime or something with a storyline?
I would love to.
Q: What color do you like working with the most? Why?
A: Prawn Red, Barley Beige, Moss Green, Cotton Pearl, and Milky White.
Q: What has 2020 taught you, in life and in your career?
A: 2020 has taught me to not treat my dreams like a hobby. You receive what you put in. I had got let go from my 9-5 office job due to the economic climate. At the time I remembered feeling so disposable and I never wanted to feel that way again. Like I had to DEPEND on someone else’s business to survive in this world. So I put all that hard work and dedication into my own and decided to take charge of my own fate.
Q: Is there a specific artist that you look up to? What about their work do you like the most?
A: Being self-taught I was inspired by anyone who had the ability to draw or create. There was never one artist specifically.
Q: What do you like about doing time-lapse videos?
A: I like to show my process of creating my pieces in a timely manner. It almost looks like magic how literally hours of artwork can be shrunk into a matter of seconds.
Q: How would a fan go about purchasing a product or getting a custom piece made?
A: For original art, you can purchase through my website (buraldaworks.net or workshop on my IG profile (@buraldaworks).
As far as custom requests you can contact me through email (buraldaworks@gmail.com).
Q: If you could do an album cover for any artist who would it be and why?
A: I have worked with many artists as far as the creation of album covers including myself. Another artist I would love to create for is Sir Michael Rocks.
The reason being is his music is dope!
Trippie Redd as well. I can imagine coming up with some major out of this world for him.
