Songwriter, Producer and Artist John Joseph
Q: What is your favorite part of your career?
A: Being able to wake up, take your thoughts and experiences, and turn them into art that a person somewhere on this planet can relate to.
Q: Who is your biggest inspiration?
A: God.
Q: How would you describe yourself in three ways?
A: Persistent, eclectic, and misunderstood.
Q: How does your music shadow who you are?
A: Whether is production or lyrics my music is a reflection of what I am feeling or going through so at times I will not be able to talk things out or know what I am feeling so I just turn to music and the music speaks for itself
Q: What makes your music different?
A: I produce a lot of my own records. I like putting in different sounds & vibes that you probably will not hear from most rap artists. It is raw, I engineer a lot of my own music as well too so most the sounds and words people will hear is coming from me, I also think that everyone sees the world differently and has different perspectives, but putting that perspective into a sound that is most people are not doing is what makes things stand out.
Q: What is LIV Records?
A: Live In Volume Records. A Record label owned and founded by Multi-platinum producer, London on da Track.
Q: What do you like most, songwriting, producing or performing? Why?
A: Depends on what season I am in. Every season requires something different from me, a different mindset, a different amount of energy, but I do not have a favorite. I love it all.
Q: Where do the ideas for your posts come from?
A: Most are random, some are planned out, I try not to overthink things. I have a tendency to do that a lot.
Q: What do you think the music/entertainment industry needs?
A: Transparency. Diversity in all genres, fewer politics; that will not change anytime soon. All in all, I think we should get back to developing artists and focus on music & talent. There are so many talented people that just need to be pushed and developed and they could be superstars but the industry will not want to put any money behind someone with no followers or fan base, which I understand the business but at the same time that is how a lot of our top artists now started.
Q: Have you ever thought about modelling? If so, what happened?
A: I have, I would not be opposed to it, I like being creative on camera. Never done it professionally though, I just like taking pictures & videos with my photographer/videographer @StaticAppeal
