Q: What do you like the most about producing?
A: Producing for me is a way to reinvent whatever it is I am influenced by. I can transfer what I am feeling into a vibe & can take something someone else created and turn that into a new vibe.
Q: What is your favorite part of the process of producing? (example: mixing, mastering, etc) Why?
A: My favorite is playlisting and arrangement, ESPECIALLY when I am working with a sample. The satisfaction that comes out of aligning different melodies with a main sound or sample creates a feeling that doesn’t compare to some of my greatness personal experiences.
Q: What is it like working with @dtheflyest (Instagram Handle)?
A: Working with Priv is smooth. I feel like since we come from the same place with the same intentions and some of the same personal and mental struggles we connect musically in a way where when we feed off each other you get something that is not just heard but felt all the way through. I work in my own studio all day so sometimes when we link up he is ready to pour everything out and I gotta kick up my energy to meet him. Some days he might lil off but I gotta kick his energy up to meet mine. We try to keep each other motivated.
Q: How do you decide what beat you are going to show to what artist?
A: Honestly, I used to try and premeditate what beats I would play for someone but I understand that the creative process is just a vibe and even though an artist might have a specific sound they embody. I might be the one to change that with a different sound. I let the artist control the pace of what beats to listen through. With Dtheflyest sometimes we push ourselves into different sounds because we do not want to keep that same vibe going unless we feel like we need to connect with that vibe or emotion.
Q: Do you ever put your input on the lyrics to songs you work on?
A: I like to let the artist speak but if they say something and it sounds better the way they might have said it before I let them know that maybe they should try it out the first way. If an artist asks for my opinion I try to translate something that might fit their message.

Q: What is the best song you produced? Why?
A: Best song I produced so far... I can not really answer that myself but if I had to say It would probably be something on “The Golden Child” project coming real soon from DTheFlyest.
Q: How and where do you draw the line between friendship and business?
A: I put anything past interest or opinion in the category of business. We could be the best of friends but as soon as my energy goes from voluntary to required then that to me is business. I can provide you with all the advice and guidance you want but if I do not have a personal interest in your situation and you need my help then that is where I activate business. Not because I do not want to lend a free hand but for the simple fact that I take myself seriously and the only way someone can come to match that is it they know they have to pay for my time and energy.
Q: If you could show anybody one of your beats who would it be? How would you approach them?
A: If I could show anybody it would probably be Future. I say this because I feel like we tap into the same energy and feel and I think we could work seamlessly. It would have to be in a studio and the approach is tough but nothing beats just shutting up and slamming the laptop on the desk before you play some fire!
Q: Would you or do you sell your beats to people who inquire about them? Why or why not?
A: I do not solicit myself to every and anybody or accept money from anybody for beats. I would have to like your music enough to enter a business exchange with you. I believe in making great music first which is what I stand by before selling beats to just anybody.
Q: What is the longest studio session you have been in? What was that experience like working so long?
A: Making DopeBoyDiaries we grabbed a studio session and invited a bunch of artists and producers and just had everybody part of the creative process. A lot of stuff did not cut onto the project but the vibes was smooth and I think we were in there for twelve hours straight.
