Q: What is the story behind your EP Insomnia? What made you decide the songs you wanted to put on it?
A: Well during the time I was recording “Insomnia” I was barely getting any sleep & it seemed like the only thing coming easy to me was the music I was making. I was in a vulnerable spot mentally due to some fucked up relationship stuff. So I just really wanted to share with my fans what I was going through. My “insomniac thoughts”.
Q: What is your favorite song on Insomnia? Why?
A: They are all my babies so this is a hard question, but “REDD” is really authentic to my style & I feel like nobody in the world can mimic or take that from me. So I cherish that track deeply.
Q: Where did the idea for your cover art to come from?
A: There was this very dope artist, named @lucidvisionss, that I follow & I sent her the album early and asked her to paint for me what she felt I was trying to portray In the tracks. She said she had a vision when listening to the music & that is how the cover art came about. Shoutout to her.
Q: If you are not working on your own music, what song do you catch yourself singing in your head?
A: Lil Saturn- ‘Ten up in my drink dissolved, you call me when them problems solved.”
Q: If you could have any superpower what would it be and why?
A: I want to fly but without wings.
Q: What do you like to do during your free time?
A: Be around good energy, smoke weed, argue about pointless shit with BG. Always thinking about music & my career though, so there is not much free time.
Q: How can you say you have grown over the years? In your career and in your life?
A: I feel like life (when done correctly) is a constant evolution process, so I try to apply that mentally, physically, and spiritually daily. I can say I have seen a lot in the industry already before fame, so I can only imagine what it will become. Grateful for all the lessons.
Q: What is something you would want your fans to know about you or your music?
A: That being a fan of my music makes them an extension of me & that dreams & fears are the same. They are only as big as you feed them.
Q: What would you say you needed help with, in your career?
A: Needed help realizing that I will never be perfect, and that it is more than okay to fail if you are going to keep trying forever.
Q: What is something you think the industry is in need of?
A: Me
